What the industry is clicking: Popular tech and delivery bottlenecks
What’s causing a stir in the IT industry even before it’s available? The answer: a graphics card like the RTX 5090. Apple, too, once again demonstrates the power of its brand – whether it’s the iPad, MacBook Pro, Mac mini or the new iPhone 16e: The Apple logo dominates the highflyer list in Q1 2025, though even an underdog from Alphacool made it into the top 10.
In our latest evaluation, we take a look at the ten most clicked new products on ITscope. Included: technology that breaks records – and occasionally makes critical headlines. From the most powerful graphics card to a business-ready iPhone and displays designed for 24/7 operation – the list reveals what system houses, technicians and IT professionals are currently most interested in.

Rank 1: Apple 10.9-inch iPad WiFi – Category: Tablet PCs
With 5,405 clicks, the Apple 10.9-inch iPad WiFi once again tops the list of most popular new products on ITscope in Q1 2025 – in the previous quarter it had already secured second place. Technically, the most clicked tablet is no newcomer: it’s the 10th generation model, first released in 2022. The A14 Bionic chip ensures solid performance, and the 10.9-inch Retina display offers Apple’s familiar picture quality. In the latest comparison test by Computerbild, it is recommended as a price tip among iPads – on ITscope it is available at a wholesale price (WSP) of €294*, which likely contributes to its popularity, even though it appears less modern compared to the Pro or Air models.
Rank 2: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 WINDFORCE OC 32G – Category: Graphics cards
The GeForce RTX 5090 WINDFORCE has generated exceptional interest: with 3,049 clicks this quarter and up to 375 views per day, it ranks among the most sought-after products on ITscope – despite (or perhaps because of) being currently unavailable.
This card is based on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture and offers immense computing power with 24,576 cores and 32 GB of GDDR7. In early tests, such as those from Computerbild, it’s rated as the fastest graphics card currently on the market.
At the same time, the launch has drawn headlines: reports of driver issues and incompatibilities, which in some cases have led to complete failure, are documented by WinFuture. There have also been accounts of overheating 12VHPWR connectors, as reported by PC Games Hardware. Despite this, demand remains high – high-end hardware continues to benefit from the current hype.
Rank 3: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D – Category: CPUs
2,567 clicks show that the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D remains a popular newcomer in the CPU segment. While the processor was still sold out everywhere at the end of 2024, stock levels in 2025 have remained stable. This 8-core CPU based on the Zen 5 architecture shines particularly in gaming performance and is still considered one of the best gaming CPUs according to Chip. However, the new Ryzen 9 models 9900X3D and 9950X3D could soon overtake it as the highflyer according to PC Games Hardware.
Isolated incidents such as a reported defect during streaming (WinFuture) will hopefully remain rare exceptions and have not yet diminished interest in this CPU. The average WSP on ITscope is €470*.
Rank 4: Microsoft Windows Server 2025 Standard – Category: Operating systems
With 2,297 clicks, Microsoft Windows Server 2025 Standard is the most clicked new operating system on ITscope. It brings several innovations relevant to professional IT environments. These include \"hotpatching\", which allows many updates to be installed without a reboot – reducing downtime. Microsoft also introduces the \"Winget\" package manager, enabling software installation and updates via command line, similar to Linux systems. New features also include GPU partitioning in Hyper-V, allowing multiple virtual machines to share a graphics card – useful for AI computations or graphic rendering. Enhancements in SMB sharing improve security and network performance.
Rank 5: Apple iPhone 16e – Category: Mobile phones
Listed on ITscope since 20 February, the Apple iPhone 16e is already among the most clicked new products in Q1 2025 – 2,168 clicks indicate high interest. With a 6.1-inch OLED display (2532 x 1170 pixels), a 48 MP main camera and 12 MP front camera, the iPhone 16e positions itself as an attractive option in the mid-price range. On ITscope, the model is currently available at an average WSP of €570*.
In a test by Stiftung Warentest, the iPhone 16e is praised for its almost equal camera quality compared to the iPhone 16. It also delivers solid processing power – thanks to the same chip as the more expensive sibling model. A particular highlight is the improved reception enabled by Apple’s first in-house modem. Whereas budget iPhones in the past were often difficult to classify, high demand shows that the 16e is now well received as a cost-conscious business option.
Rank 6: Apple MacBook M4 Pro – Category: Notebooks
With 1,886 clicks, the Apple MacBook Pro with M4 Pro chip takes sixth place among the most popular new products on ITscope. This notebook impresses with a 12-core processor, 273 GB/s memory bandwidth, 24 GB RAM and a 16-core GPU – offering significantly more power than the base version with a standard M4 chip. The current average WSP is €1,885*.
Computerbild praises the device for its powerful processing, long battery life and a brilliant mini-LED display with strong contrast. The M4 Pro even outpaces the previous M3 Max in some areas and is ideal for professional users. Under full load, however, the device becomes audibly loud, according to testers. A typical point of criticism: as with many Apple products, it cannot be upgraded. An optional nano-texture display version is available to reduce reflections.
Rank 7: Sony PlayStation 5 – Category: Game consoles
The Sony PlayStation 5 Pro, listed on ITscope since October 2024, reached 972 clicks in Q1. With a 2 TB SSD, HDR support and noticeably improved graphics performance, it targets demanding gamers.
In a review by Computerbild, the console is praised for its sharp visuals, improved ray tracing and fast loading times. However, media such as PCGames and GIGA report that sales are faltering – high prices (the current average WSP is €652*) and a lack of unique selling points are holding back demand.
Rank 8: Apple Mac mini – Category: PC systems
The Apple Mac mini with M4 chip remains among the ITscope highflyers with 957 clicks. In the CHIP test, this compact system scores with quiet, energy-efficient performance that’s sufficient for demanding office and creative applications. Criticism includes the small standard SSD (256 GB) and a single 1 Gbit Ethernet port. However, memory upgrades are now affordable through third-party modules. For companies seeking compact, quiet, and low-maintenance systems, the Mac mini remains an attractive choice.
Rank 9: Iiyama ProLite LH4360UHS-B2AG – Category: LCD monitors/TVs
With 904 clicks, the Iiyama ProLite LH4360UHS-B2AG is the most popular new display on ITscope. This 43-inch monitor with 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160), integrated Android 11 OS and built-in media player is currently available at a WSP of €450*.
LCD displays are commonly used in meeting rooms, reception areas or for digital signage. The Iiyama model supports 24/7 operation and can be used in either portrait or landscape mode. Practical features such as “signal failover” – automatically switching to an alternative input if the primary source fails – and “anti-image retention” to prevent burn-in make this model highly reliable for continuous use.
Rank 10: Alphacool WAK Core Geforce RTX 5090 – Category: Cooling
With 563 clicks, the Alphacool Core Geforce RTX 5090 is the most popular new component in the cooling category on ITscope. While water cooling remains a niche topic outside of all-in-one (AiO) solutions, it continues to gain traction in the high-end segment. This listed cooling block is designed for custom loops – tailor-made water-cooling systems used in powerful workstations or gaming setups. The current WSP is €164*.
According to HardwareLuxx, Alphacool has revised the design to improve cooling performance and compatibility – for example, with optimised water flow and precision-milled details. The chrome-plated copper base and robust brass fittings highlight a focus on quality and durability.
