At ITscope, we focus not only on a smooth ordering process but also on protecting your data. That’s why we will soon be introducing two-factor authentication (2FA). This will make logging in more secure—without making it unnecessarily complicated.
2FA adds a second verification step to your password. This means that even if someone knows your password, your account remains protected. The solution is provided by our parent company, Exact, which supports over 550,000 businesses across Europe with secure cloud solutions.
Why is two-factor authentication worthwhile?
A strong password is good, but two-factor authentication is better. Even if login credentials fall into the wrong hands—whether through phishing or data breaches—unauthorised individuals cannot access your account. In addition to your password, an extra verification step is required, such as using an authentication app.
You are probably already familiar with this process from your bank or other online services. The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) also recommends using two-factor authentication to protect sensitive data. We are now implementing this proven security measure at ITscope as well. This ensures that your account remains secure against unauthorised access—with minimal effort in your daily routine.
Secure with Exact Online – a proven solution
As part of the Exact Group, ITscope relies on Exact Online’s secure and tested authentication solution. The Exact Group, based in the Netherlands, not only develops business software for ERP and financial management but also places great emphasis on data protection and IT security.
With the new 2FA, your ITscope account remains protected while keeping the login process simple. After entering your password, you confirm access using an app—a reliable security mechanism that has been widely adopted by businesses.
What does 2FA mean for you?
Two-factor authentication will be rolled out gradually from May 2025 and will then be mandatory for all ITscope users. As soon as the time comes, you will receive an email with instructions on how to set up authentication in just a few steps.
